We build our courses to be as accessible as possible to all children ages 7-17, who have a desire to learn about business. All types of learners can benefit from the content shared. We encourage the majority of the learning to be self-managed, which is a skill we can build upon on the course if it's not one they join the course passionate about.
We provide a 13 week course for the kids to work through at their own pace and, ideally, they are able to invest an hour a week to attend a video call. We appreciate that some children will want to learn at their own pace or even spend much more time on their work, and that's fine too! Both BizKids and TeenPreneur Academy are courses with a flexible approach to learning. All work is delivered via our App, and is available from Monday each week for self-organised learning at the times which suit you best.
What if I book this course and I don't / my child doesn't like it?
We want everyone to get value for money, and enjoy learning with us. If, within 14 days of the Academy starting, your child is not engaging and you are dissatisfied, simply let us know by emailing [email protected]ldodd.com and we will refund your money in full, no quibbles!
What if I don't have a good idea for a business?
That's fine! Once enrolled on the course, kids will be able to work with their business mentor to develop ideas. If you're still not sure, you can take our short course, which would see you better prepared to join. Click Here to find out more.
As a parent, am I required to supervise my child throughout the course?
We are more than happy for parents to stick around while their child is on the video calls, and you are more than welcome to get involved and assist them with any extra work they want to do. We understand that some parents may be worried about the risks surrounding their child setting an online business, and so we are open to supervision, though we can assure that all risks taken are calculated and taken with the aid of a professional business mentor.
Equally, there is no obligation to supervise! Both courses are designed to support children through every choice they make, from their learning style to their website launch. They will be able to develop self-sufficiency skills to support their own learning.
I don't want to be on camera for the video meetings. Is that ok?
That is absolutely fine! While we encourage pupils to be on camera and engage with the calls, we understand that can be a discomfort to some, and that's okay. We want you to have fun!
Where can I find the Zoom link to join the call?
The best place to find our Zoom link is in the Community. You won't have to search for long before you'll come across a previous reminder post with the link. Plus, we post reminders every week before the calls.
We aim to email parents every week with the zoom link and a reminder of when the call will start that day, and we also post it in our Facebook group.
